Course Overview:


Vena Health Education Institute intravenous (IV) therapy and blood withdrawal course is designed to teach fundamental knowledge and skills in intravenous (IV) therapy and blood withdrawal for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN).


After completion 40 hours (5 days) of the IV therapy and blood withdrawal course, as approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT), the LVN will be evaluated by a BVNPT approved registered nurse instructor to verify competency by performing three (3) live successful intravenous venipuncture and (3) live successful blood withdrawal. *  Licensed Psychiatric Technician can only be certified in blood withdrawal (not intravenous therapy).
